April 1st in New Albany:
New Albany HS:
Unsigned senior RHP Phil Forbis: up to 85 mph in first inning, pitched in low 80s with 71 mph hard tight curveball. Forbis will be the Bulldogs ace again this year. Interesting prospect with quick arm and very good curve.
Unsigned senior outfielder Nathan Poff: went 2-for-2 with 4 RBI in game vs. FW Carroll. Last year hit .395
Junior centerfielder Sean Godfrey: hit 3 run walk-off home run. The 6-foot-2, 165-pound Godfrey showed good bat speed, good runner, and tracked ball well in center.
Junior left-handed pitcher Jeremy Juliot, 5-foot-10, 160-pound, 78-81 mph fastball with good 68 mph curve and 74 mph change-up. Smooth mechanics and easy loose arm makes this prospect a must follow.
Freshman shortstop Jordan Striegel is a prospect to keep an eye on with his good hands and athletic ability.
Jeffersonville HS:
Unsigned senior infielder Cody Poole: The 6-foot-3, left-handed hitting middle infielder might be one of the best unsigned left-handed sticks around.
Junior right-handed pitcher Hunter Tipton: Tipton did have his typical outing in the season opener, but look for him to bounce back and be a force in Southeast Indiana. Last year Tipton posted a 8-2 record with 104 K’s in 68 IP.
Other notables: Senior catcher Sam Burke and senior first baseman Aaron Hargett
FW Carroll HS:
Junior centerfielder Justin Glass: The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Glass has a smooth left-handed stroke and looks to be a top prospect in the junior class.
Unsigned senior outfielder Brad Murphy: Leadoff hitter for the Chargers posted several hits in the double header.
Other notables: Senior Adam Crall, senior Cameron Ginder, junior Evan Kosmoski, and junior Curtis Wise.

April 4th, Zionsville Tournament:

Zionsville HS:
Unsigned senior centerfielder Ryan Price: quick bat, hits leadoff for Zionsville.

Sophomore shortstop Max Kuhn: Good glove, strong arm, 3 hole hitter
Other notables: Junior catcher Daniel Wilson, Sophomore left-hander Alex Westrick (didn’t see pitch), and junior righty Stephen Snow (didn’t see pitch).
Crawfordsville HS:
Junior left-handed pitcher Steven Rice: Pitched a complete game 5 hitter with 10 K’s to pick up the win. Rice was low-to-mid 80s with a plus curve. Rice, arguably the best left-handed pitcher in the junior class, pitched in mid-season form on Saturday April 4. Look for him to be a highly recruited prospect in the coming months.
Other notables: I only saw part of one game so didn’t get a good read on all of Crawfordsville’s players, but hope to see them again this year.  Unsigned senior Brett Linn is one to watch.
Seymour HS:
Unsigned righty Cory Thomas: The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Thomas did a great job of keeping Zionsville off-balance. Thomas pitched in the low 80s with a hard curve, 70 mph.
Norwell HS:
Only saw part of one game…
