Andrew Hasler
Mishawaka Marian HS, RHP, Class of 2012: This 6-foot-6, 200-pound right-hander proved to be one of the more projectable prospects at the event. Hasler features an athletic frame and fluid arm, which leads us to believe he has more than the 81 mph fastball he showed at the event.

Jack Bernacchi
Elkhart Central HS, 1B/P, Class of 2012: Bernacchi showed well at the plate. Offensively, he is short, quick and strong to the ball as he hit line drives all over the field. He has a quiet, fundamentally sound approach and displayed excellent bat control.

Bobby Norell
Mishawak Marian HS, SS/P, Class of 2012: The 5-foot-7, 175-pound Norell performed well in all facets. He moved fluidly at shortstop with a solid arm across the field. At the plate, he attacks the ball with sound mechanics and a quick line-drive producing swing. On the mound, Norell threw 82 mph.

Neal Dowling
SB St. Joe HS, C, Class of 2013: The left-handed hitting Dowling has the tools to be the next catcher for the Indians program. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Dowling (right) showed solid footwork behind the dish. At the plate, he demonstrated a fundamental, gap-to-gap with power approach from the left side.

Josh Turnock
Mishawaka Marian HS, C, Class of 2014: This 5-foot-9, 150-pound left-handed hitting catcher is one of the best hitters we’ve seen in the Class of 2014. Turnock also performed well behind the plate and at third.
Rankings

At long last, the updated and expanded Class of 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 rankings have been released. We ranked in our humble opinion the top 150 prospects from the Class of 2010, top 150 prospect from the Class of 2011, top 100 prospects from the Class of 2012 and it’s still early, but we’ve compiled the top 10 player rankings from the Class of 2013.

July 6 showcase results


The
Open ID Showcase on July 6 at Bethel College in Mishawaka had a talented mix of prospects. While there were several standout performances, FW Bishop Luers RHP Josh Ulrey (pictured above), Guerin RHP Matt Pletzke and Penn 3B Kyle Schneider stood above the rest of the Class of 2011 prospects. There were also some stellar underclass prospects at the event; most notably, Crown Point SS Jake Lindeman and Delta C Taran Temple...

June 24 Showcase

The Prep Baseball Report Top Prospect Showcase on June 24 at IUSE in New Albany proved to be full of talented prospects. The 2012 graduates at the event were particularly impressive as a whole, as were the hitters. While there were several notable performances, Chesterton RHP Jake Post walked away the top ranked 2012 prospect with his performance on the mound.
