  Cathedral's Paligraf picks Xavier

Patrick Paligraf, a hard-hitting middle infielder from Cathedral HS, has verbally committed to Xavier University. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Paligraf is one of the state’s best shortstops and was a big reason why the Irish finished with 25-plus wins last spring.

  Castle slugger Saiko heading to SIU

Castle standout Graham Saiko, who’s highly ranked by the Prep Baseball Report, made his college decision when he verbally committed to Southern Illinois University. Saiko, a middle infielder, possesses a strong arm and power at the plate. 

  Biggs commits to Evansville

Josh Biggs, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound left-handed pitcher and first baseman from Washington Township HS, has verbally committed to University of Evansville. Biggs emerged this fall after suffering a minor arm strain last season. The left-hander is consistently in the mid 80’s, but has been clocked as high as 87 mph this fall. 

  Ort commits to ISU

Indiana State landed a top prospect when it received a commitment from Robby Ort, who’s one of the top left-handed hitting outfielders in the state. The 6-foot, 165-pound Ort led Castle High School with 37 RBI. As a junior he batted .430 with 25 runs, 11 doubles, and 3 home runs. 

  Rockville's King and Ball pick Indiana State

Rockville High's Matt King and Steven Ball have recently named Indiana State University as their school of choice. King (pictured right), a left-handed pitcher and first baseman, will be playing football and baseball at Indiana State. Ball will be make an impact as an outfielder and pitcher.

Purdue scores big, lands Perkins

 

     

Cameron Perkins, who's one of the hottest prospects in Indiana,  has committed to Purdue University. The 6-foot-5, 185-pound standout infielder and right-handed pitcher from Southport HS possesses one of the best bats in the state and has been a top-level prospect since his arrival from Texas last spring. He shattered the state’s batting average record and nearly every Southport record. 
Last spring Perkins batted an amazing .723 with 20 doubles, 54 RBI, 19 stolen bases, and 9 home runs. And, interestingly, his video has been clicked on more than 30,000 in our Player Video Center.

Evansville lands slick-fielding Pierce

 


Ryan Pierce, who’s one of the top shortstops prospects in Indiana, has verbally committed to play at University of Evansville. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Pierce has played stellar defense for Jeffersonville High School and continued that this summer. Pierce posted a .345 batting average with 9 doubles and 4 home runs. 

Pierce is the third Indiana prospect to commit to Evansville, joining FW Bishop Dwenger Scott Scheumann and Carmel Kyle Lloyd.

Anderson's Earley heading South

Nolan Earley, 2009 standout from Anderson High School, committed to South Alabama. As one of only three juniors named to the 2008 Class 4A All-State first team, Earley’s hard work is clearly producing results.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound athlete made a strong impression as a freshman on varsity and has been producing ever since. The left-handed hitting outfielder and pitcher established himself as one of the top hitters in the state after hitting .488 with 47 RBI, 40 runs scored, 13 doubles, 4 home runs, and 11 stolen bases for the Indians as a junior.
